In addition, this was the third and last season Napoli played with the logo of the candy brand Mars on the Shirt. Led by none other than Diego Armando Maradona, Napoli managed to capture the Italian Championship title for the second time in its history. They also made it to the semi-finals of the Copa Italia, but Milan proved too strong in that round.
