Additionally, they won the League Cup with a 2–1 final victory against Celtic and the Scottish Cup with a 1–0 win against Dundee. Despite their domestic success, Rangers were eliminated from Europe in the first round by Czech team Victoria Zizkov, losing on the away goals rule.
